Widenta is one of the largest companies in Europe that designs, produces, and distributes cut off wheels, grinding tools, and sanding products across retailers, industrial traders, and manufacturers. Widenta provides flexible services, cost-efficient fulfillment of orders, and quality products for its customers.

In its Central European factories, Widenta’s main product lines include cut off wheels, grinding wheels, mounted points, cup wheels, grinding segments, and flexible abrasive products designed for powertools, such as angle grinders, straight grinders, bench grinders, or orbital sanders. Its products are also intended for industrial purposes, such as surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, gear grinding, valve grinding, sharpening, cutting, surface treatment, among others.

Widenta is a considerable distributor and trader of industrial minerals, including abrasive grains. Besides the company also owns a factory in Hungary which is specialised in the development and production of parts for industrial equipment, such as for grinding tool production machines.

Widenta offers a wide range of products from storage. It has the capability to develop and manufacture tools within a short lead time due to the hundreds of grain types kept in its inventories, as well as its modern machinery.

Widenta’s interesting history represents 80 years of its continuing operations. In 1938, the factory was founded by Ferenc Chorin, who with his family generated 10% of the Hungarian GDP at that time. After the 1949 communist takeover of Hungary, Widenta became a Comecon strategic company and changed its name. Its production continued. The factory was privatized by a German businessman after the collapse of the communist regime. Later the company was acquired by strategic investors and the company has fully modernized its industrial equipment. After some major investments, Widenta is currently one of the largest grinding tool and cutoff wheel factories in Central Eastern Europe. The factory delivers unique industrial orders under the well-known global brand name Widenta.
